Exciting news from the CIRCULAR FUELS project: our first Staff Exchange is officially under way. Prof. Tomás Ramírez Reina, from the Surface Science & Catalysis laboratory (SURFCAT) at the Universidad de Sevilla, started his secondment at GreenX Technology Ltd, hosted at the Surrey Technology Centre in the Surrey Research Park, United Kingdom.

The aim of this first exchange is to bring the catalyst design expertise developed in Seville straight into an industrial R&D environment. During his stay, Prof. Ramírez Reina is working alongside the GreenX team on catalyst optimisation and process modelling, two of the company's main contributions to the project.

Beyond the technical work, exchanges like this one are the backbone of an MSCA Staff Exchange action: they strengthen the ties between academia and industry, create new opportunities for collaboration, and help turn laboratory results into technologies that can reach the market.

Knowledge sharing also happens away from the lab, with the GreenX Technology team.

This is the first of many exchanges planned between our partners in Spain, Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom. You can follow all of them on our Secondments page.
